Description Amazon Devices and Services is an inventive research and development consumer electronics business. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. We are looking for an HR leader to drive the development and implementation of HR strategy for businesses under the Device Hardware organization that has designed and developed devices like the Kindle, Echo line of devices, Fire tablets, and Fire TV. A Principal HR Business partner in this role is both a strategic and hands-on leader that provides full cycle Human Resources support to the business. Based in Sunnyvale, this role will be a part of a fun, passionate and dynamic HR and business team and requires strong team collaboration with other parts of Amazon HR. This role is critical in defining and executing our talent agenda by working backward from the customer and driving HR thought leadership and functional excellence. To be successful in this role, you must understand business priorities and translate them into the highest impact work. You will help business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention, and the overall employee experience. - A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. - Experience with organizational design and facilitating change management within a rapid and complex changing work environment. - Strong solutions focus. The role will partner with leaders of the Device Hardware product development and/or technology teams responsible for delivering on multiple programs. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field - 10+ years experience in an HR leadership role with broad knowledge and experience in human resources Preferred Qualifications · Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred · 5+ years experience working with global teams, leading strategic HR direction for a global organization · 2+ years HR experience in a high tech environment. · Strong judgment and experience coaching senior leaders. · Effective Communication/Facilitation: The HRBP must be an effective communicator, both written and verbal, work with managers to send clear and consistent messages, be an effective communicator in writing, facilitation, be able to drive change, facilitate internal communication processes, and facilitate dissemination of internal customer information. The base pay for this position ranges from $139,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,200/year in our highest geographic market.
